Tour Plan

On arrival at Guwahati Airport / Railway station, meet our representative and transfer to hotel. Bike Introduction for people who are doing this tour on bike. Meet and greet other members of the group. After freshen up and resting for a while we start our Guwahati sightseeing tour. Today we cover Kamakhya Temple, Assam State Museum, State Zoo cum Botanical Garden. Return to hotel by evening. Dinner and Stay in Guwahati.

Day 1

Have an early breakfast and start our Meghalaya tour. We start our journey from Guwahati towards Shillong , famously called 'Scotland of the East’ (100 km 4 hrs). Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Shillong.

Day 2

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world , en route visit Elephanta falls and Shillong peak for some breathtaking views. You will see one of the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai. Dinner and Overnight stay at Cherrapunjee

Day 3

After early breakfast drive to Dawki, The India Bangladesh Border is 2 hrs drive from Cherapunjee and a large river basin, here at the border you will see that not all borders have barbed wire fencing and you can roam about in No Man’s land and go till Bangladesh checkpoint. Mawlynnong – “Asia’s Cleanest Village”. Mawlynnong offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another small rock. Dinner and overnight stay in Mawlynnong.

Day 4

After breakfast roam around the town of Mawlynnong for a while. Interact with the locals and buy some bamboo goodies from the local market. We start our drive back to Shillong, taking occasional breaks and visiting various waterfalls that are enroute.Reach by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Shillong

Day 5

After breakfast visit Don Bosco Museum & Ward’s Lake. After that drive to Guwahati. Arrive and check in at hotel. Enroute visit 'Kalakshetra', a place where Assamese history and culture is presented through Light and sound show. Return to hotel. Dinner and Overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 6

Today is the last day of our trip and after breakfast, we check out the other local attractions of Guwahati, Tirupati Balaji Temple, Nabagraha Temple and the market. A leisure day compared to other days that of the trip. Airport/ Railway Station drop. Departure from Guwahati. Trip ends.
